Sa Font bei Petra (Lizenz ETV/941)

Sa Font is a typical Mallorcan country house on a slight rise near Petra – completely quiet, yet only a few minutes from the village. From the partly covered terraces you look far across Petra and the island's interior; the child-safe fenced pool makes the finca ideal for families of up to six.

The owners have restored and modernised the house with great attention to detail. The large living/dining room with fireplace and wood stove leads into the kitchen, which has its own terrace access. On the ground floor are two bedrooms with a bathroom between them, one with direct terrace access. A staircase leads to the third, air-conditioned bedroom with en-suite bathroom and private terrace.

The garden has an outdoor barbecue and play areas, and the pool is fenced off for child safety. A cot and high chair are available. Tourist licence: ETV/941.

Location & surroundings

Petra is a quiet country town in the island's interior and the birthplace of the Franciscan Junípero Serra, who founded missions such as San Diego and San Francisco in California; his birthplace and a small museum can be visited. Well-surfaced country lanes take you to the village, with supermarkets, bars and restaurants, in a few minutes. The Ermita de Bonany sanctuary above Petra offers a wonderful panoramic view.

The beaches of Playa de Muro and Can Picafort and the natural beach of Son Serra de Marina are around 25 minutes' drive away. Palma is about 40 km away, and the airport around 35 minutes.
