Finca Son Pastor (Lizenznummer ETV/614)

Son Pastor is a historic early 19th-century finca near Artà, carefully restored and modernised in 2003. On 60,000 m² of land, the house, outbuildings and terraces offer plenty of space and peace – and an unusual pool created from an old water reservoir.

Five bright, spacious bedrooms – four with single beds that can be pushed together or kept apart, and one with a double bed – and three modern bathrooms sleep up to ten. The living room and fully equipped kitchen are cosy and modern; heating, fireplace, Wi-Fi, safe and alarm system are provided.

The pool is 12 metres long, between 4 and 7 metres wide and slopes from 1.5 to 3 metres deep – there is no shallow end, so young children should be supervised. Several terraces surround the house; a cot and high chair are available. Tourist licence: ETV/614.

Location & surroundings

Artà is one of the prettiest towns in the north-east: above the old town the Sant Salvador sanctuary sits within old fortress walls, and a popular weekly market is held on Tuesdays. Just outside town lies the Talayotic settlement of Ses Païsses, one of the best preserved on the island.

The sea is close: Betlem is about 6 km away, Colònia de Sant Pere about 6 km, and the unspoilt Cala Torta in Llevant Natural Park around 8 km. The park offers lovely hikes to secluded coves and to Talaia de Morella. Palma airport is around 55–60 minutes by car.
