Historic Finca Son Costa

Son Costa is a classic Mallorcan manor house with roots in the 16th century, always family-owned and sensitively modernised. An old mill tower points the way to the arched entrance; beyond lie 21 hectares of land, 2,000 m² of garden and lawn and a 12 × 5 metre pool.

Thick stone walls, worn cobblestones and the typical architecture of the era create an instant feeling of shelter. The 500 m² building has five double bedrooms – one of them a walk-through room – and four bathrooms, three en suite and one on the ground floor serving the pool, plus a guest WC. Antique masonry and furniture are combined with modern comforts: fireplace, Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.

The rental price is for eight guests; higher occupancy is possible on request. Celebrations with up to 80 people are also permitted by arrangement – for an extra fee and a higher deposit. Tourist licence: VT/2077.

Location & surroundings

Montuïri lies at the heart of the island on the Es Pla plain, surrounded by almond and cereal fields. The village is known for its windmills, the Sant Bartomeu festival with traditional Cossiers dances in August and the Talayotic settlement of Son Fornés with its small museum.

The central location is ideal for trips in every direction: Palma is around 30 minutes away, the airport about 25 minutes. The nearest beaches on the Playa de Palma or in the south at Sa Ràpita and Es Trenc are around 30 minutes away, and Sineu market is close by.
